My Milton professor's name is Su Fang Ng.  I have no idea how to pronounce the last name.

I will be attending Maundy Thursday with my uncle Bob at All Soul's Episcopal tonight.  Should be an altar-strippin' good time.

I'm also getting advised tomorrow and I wish I could tell my adviser that I want the rest of my college career to be independent study.

Watched The Lives of Others the other night and it's probably the best movie I've seen in theatres since Children of Men.  Wait, it's the only movie I've seen in theatres since Children of Men, but it was still first-rate.  Those Germans, man.

I wish I had one of those faded, old, moldy-green anchor tattoos on my forearm like my granddad did.  His name was Ray.

Milton the Arian?

"Hear My [God's] decree, which unrevoked shall stand!
This day I have begot whom I declare
My only Son and on this holy hill
Him have anointed whom ye now behold
At my right hand..."

-Paradise Lost V.602-606

Or not?

"Equal to him, begotten Son, by whom
As by His Word the mighty Father made
All things, ev'n thee, and all the spirits of Heav'n
By Him created in their bright degrees"

-V.835-838

Also, for Milton, angels are whatever sex they feel like at the time, or both, and Adam never flatulates or defecates, instead he just release vapors out of his pores that smell like sweet petunias.

Most people that come into my Starbucks have alot of money.

Can you think of anything that is not commodified?

If you could imagine a revolution at this moment in history, what would it look like?

Are you anxious about utopia?

Are you nervous about heaven on earth?

I don't feel like I can speak in anything but questions.

That trip to the Ozarks more or less fell through, or froze up, however you want to put it.  And word has it that we need to batten down the hatches for another blizzard.  Good gracious.

Classes are up and running.  Milton, literary theory, Aristotle, l'italiano, bench press.  I'm feeling a bit less than adequate, not least because of my sails' deflation after last semester.  My thinking feels too obvious and frumpy,  like my brain's cholesterol level is through the roof.

Nearly every morning I wake up with R-head's Idioteque in my head, specifically the "ice age comin'" part.  I wonder why.

I'm curious if the possible increase in the minimum wage that the dems are pushing for will increase non-minimum wage hourly laborers' pay.  (that was a tricky sentence to write).  Anyone know the answer?

I usually don't feel like going to a show, but lately I have the desire to hear good music live and in person.

There's always somethin' cookin' at Old Joe's Place.

Hope everyone's Christmas Day was stellar.  Remember, the season's not over.  We've got, what, ten more days of partyin' left to go.

I think I'll be taking a trip to the mountains (Ozark) for a few days to clear out the cobwebs, among other things.

My cat won't stop meowing and I'm about to make him a sacrifice to Zeus.

Just kidding.

I hate the mall.  Especially when not a single store has my trouser length.  I'm 6'6" by the way.  If you didn't know this already, I usually wear one pair of pants for about 6 months at a time (often without washing them), and I'm due for some new ones.

Keep making lemons out of lemonade.  We'll see ya.
